Photos posted for Stan White 10 Attachment(s)
Photos posted for Stan White, not sure of the text to go with them.
Edit: per Stan's post on Swap Meet, "Not your average Flathead, Built by the best, Ed Bingly of Bings Speed Shop in Santa Rosa, Cal. Call for more info. 775 265 5333 Might leave message? Stan White." Location is Gardnerville Nevada. |
Re: Photos posted for Stan White Dang. Some nice engines right there.

Re: Photos posted for Stan White Believe he wants them posted in the Swap Meet section, but not totally sure how to do that for someone else. Anyone familiar with posting for someone else (photos only, I'm not in the middle of any transactions) in the Swap Meet? I know I can post for myself, but can not respond to post by others, so was concerned that if I posted them it might present an issue with Stan controlling it. Any help or suggestions here?

I believe you would need STAN's password to do it cleanly. I believe most of us COULD trust JSeery with a password. Or, now that the pics are out there, just PM STAN! DD . |

Re: Photos posted for Stan White I'm guessing Bingly = Ed Binggeli. I met him once and shook his hand.
|
Re: Photos posted for Stan White He's previously posted ads in the classified section (without pictures) of engine(s) for sale.
|
Re: Photos posted for Stan White I updated the original post with this information from the Swap Meet posting:
Not your average Flathead, Built by the best, Ed Bingly of Bings Speed Shop in Santa Rosa, Cal. Call for more info. 775 265 5333 Might leave message? Stan White. Location is Gardnerville Nevada. I am working on trying to get the photos over to the Swap Meet. |
Re: Photos posted for Stan White What distributor would be used on these engines?
|
Re: Photos posted for Stan White If it was me, a crab dist, but it's not me, so? :)
|
Re: Photos posted for Stan White Don’t both engines have a three bolt timing cover? Isn’t the crab distributor two bolt?
|
Re: Photos posted for Stan White Those are incredible!

Re: Photos posted for Stan White Quote:
Those engines both have what is referred-to as a "2-hole" cover, although there are THREE holes shown. The "2-hole" & "3-hole" that we refer to is BOLT holes. That third, smaller hole you are seeing is for a vacuum connection. Below is a true 3-hole cover shown first, and then, a BLUE 2-hole cover below that for a 'crab'-type distributor. Below is a picture of the BACK side of a "crab" distributor. Note the small, third hole at the top for vacuum. That is a black rubber seal for the vacuum seen in the SMALL upper hole. DD https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...0&d=1627590799 |

Thank you for the well-explained tutorial. Now I get it. Thanks. |

Re: Photos posted for Stan White You have to realize that Stan is well into his eighties and just lost his wife. I believe there is an option on "The Barn" where you can send an email (not a "PM"); have you tried that?
