This post about Pete's Pistons has photos of the pistons that I just received from John. This is an excellent product and would fit perfectly with the new Burtz engine. I have been in touch with John Cosper of Pete’s Auto Machine in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has in stock now 50 sets of 283 style standard sized pistons for standard length Model A rods. John had been selling his pistons under the name ”Pete’s Pistons”, up until a few years ago. He has recently decided to again offer the modern style 283 style pistons for Model A engines. His price is $300.00 a set which includes, four 283 style standard size pistons, four piston pins with snap rings, four ring sets and all shipping and handling charges. He can be reached at 505-440-1280.

I just got off the phone with John, he does have a few sets of oversized pistons: 3 sets of 060" oversize and 4 sets of .080" oversize.

In comparison to a stock piston, what do these modern pistons weigh?

The true advantage with the 283 slug is thinner rings..if the metallurgy in the Burtz block is good.
