40 transmission removal while on a 4 post lift?

I have come to the conclusion I have to remove the tranny from my 40. I have done it before with jack stands on my garage floor. However,I now own a 4 post lift and think it is feasible to do it on the lift. Has anyone removed a 40 Ford transmission while on a 4 post lift? I have a sliding jack tray that will lift the rear and will have a support to put under the oil pan. i realize the tranny must still come out through the interior. Any other thoughts about doing it this way?

did this to a 40 coupe, we strapped the front axle so the car would not move then we used a 6x6 beam and blocking to hold the car up, a sliding jack tray to support the rear and allow it to move back to clear u joint, a man in the car and another under to help remove the trans, we supported the engine with another 6x6 and blocking

Has to come out the top. Dont forget to rotate the transmission to clear the crossmember.
I can never remember in which direction to rotate the transmission. By the time I figure it out I have to go and take a leak.

I had a era 4 post lift, for such jobs I would leave the rear wheels hanging off the end, for front drive I would hang the front wheels over the end, sometimes with safety chain if I was worried about tipping issues
