Gas rationing A decals

Does anyone know of a source for a good reproduction of the WWII A gas rationing windshield sticker? I bought one that I finally got around to using and it was not worth a hoot. It had to be applied on the outside of the windshield, and you know how that worked out. I would like a good one for my avatar. Thanks a bunch.

if only for an avatar, could you make a screen shot & then use it?

Think he means for the truck in his avatar, not to be used as an avatar.
Otherwise the one you suggest has all the desired attributes.

Got mine from Macs Ford Parts . It’s not a water slide decal but a peel and stick that sticks on the inside of the glass.

I wanted a "C" sticker since Rusty would have been a farm truck during the war. Bought it off Ebay. Its a sticker for the inside of the windshield not a water slide.

I thought I got mine from Bob Drake’s but I couldn’t find it online.
Here’s and article about them https://www.mafca.com/downloads/Gas%...20Stickers.pdf

Since you are going to put it on your pickup I think you should get the “T” one.

Or print this one

Thanks, Pete. I ordered one for what it's worth. From what I remember of them they were paper with some type of glue on them where you wet them and stuck them on the inside of your windshield. Apparently, no one is making an authentic reproduction, like so many things nowadays.

With the current trend towards electric vehicles? Not very likely. The Saudi's will be trying to sell their oil at closeout in a few years.

Just curious, what are the parameters for an "authentic reproduction"?
Do they need to have 80 years of age showing?

Accurate A Sticker reproduction here> https://inspectionsticker.net/index....roducts_id=150

The “A” sticker was the most common and was issued to the general public. To get the sticker, you had to certify that you needed gasoline and that you owned no more than 5 tires, which were also rationed during the war.The “B” sticker was issued to business owners. It allowed them to get more fuel for their business vehicles. The "C" sticker was issued primarily to professional people, physicians nurses, dentists, ministers, priests, Mail delivery, embalmers, farm workers, construction or maintenance workers, Soldiers and armed forces going to duty, and several others. The interesting thing about the “C” sticker is that where was a list of 17 different occupations and check boxes at the bottom of the form that the person had to check off to qualify for the sticker. In reality, the “C” sticker was probably the most common during the war, as many people tried to qualify to get more gasoline. However, after the war, most “C” sticker users scraped it off their windshield, as they didn't want the world to know their profession. The "M" sticker was issued to motorcycle owners. This included telegraph delivery and other messenger services who used motorcycles for their business. The "T" sticker was issued to truck drivers. The "X" sticker was issued in special instances for high mileage type jobs such as traveling salesmen
