1939 convertible windshield stainless Guys, how do I remove the stainless moldings from the windshield rubber? Does it just pull out? I don't want to damage it. Thanks,

Remove glass with rubber gasket from both sides. From outside of car, remove small stainless piece that covers ends of each stainless molding. This is located at the center - bottom. Now remove the trim piece. You should start at the center bottom and may need to tap the edge as you go along. Often times the trim is stuck a bit or God forbid some idi-- glued it. |
Re: 1939 convertible windshield stainless To expand on Kube's explanation, the stainless attaches to the body not the rubber. The glass with rubber seal are removed first, hopefully not disturbing the stainless trim.
