Fender cover

What to use for a fender cover when working on the Model A. The towel slides off & so do the tools. Is there something made for the Model A ??

Re: Fender cover

Snyder's has a cover as does MARC but the MARC one tends to slide off also. I hold it on with magnets.

California Car Cover sells fender covers (https://www.calcarcover.com/search/Fender%20cover)

I think you can get one with a Ford Logo if that is important to you.

Harbor freight’s fender Mat for only $10 does a very good job.

I use a yoga mat. Stays in place and when not in use, rolls up.

I use a nice Used bath towel, held in place by two rare earth magnets.
I really like it.

I’ll have to get one of these. It has four magnets; which should keep it in place. Thanks for the heads up.

Just leave the yoga mat on your fender and do your yoga on top of the fender!

The Snyder mat works pretty good. It has holes cut into it to go around the headlight bars and hold it in place. It also has slots marked on it that you can cut if you have fender mounted spares. Works great and is meant specifically for the A.

I use fender blankets. Sure they may slip, but I just put back in place. https://www.sears.com/globe-house-pr...SPM13420311719

I saw that and was just showing it as a sample of what I use. I got mine from the service that washed our shop rags.

Re: Fender cover

About a hundred years ago I bought a Craftsman cover from Sears. It has magnets to keep it in place. Works great, wish I had another one. I also have a couple of the ones that are "made for a Model A", but they don't work very well and keep falling off, despite the fact that they wrap around the headlight bar.
