Hood length question?
 

Hi guys, I have a friend trying to ID some parts, he has a pile of 30-31 A parts and he says he has two hoods but there's almost 3" difference in length, I haven't gotten pics from him yet but was wondering if there's a length difference between Briggs/Murray bodied cars or possibly an AA truck. Can't find any reference in the Brattons catalog as to hood length and the judging standards doesn't say anything either. Thanks

there is NO differences in the 30-31 hoods car or truck. if he has a shorter hood it could be a 29 Cabriolet or 28-29 Murray hood they are the same as the 28-29 standard hood but they have a reveal on the hood top panels

28-29 hoods have 19 louvers, 30-31 have 21.---The Dog sez he has 16 toes!

28 & 29 Briggs and Murray both have the same hood as well as the Cabriolet. Wonder if the Taxi did, probably Towncar for sure.
