Ansco MMO oiler

Would like to see pictures of how you mounted your MMO oiler especially in 35-36 Ford.

I purchased 6 or 8 of the Amsco oilers when they guy selling hem first got them. Also have several MMO oilers installed. They all work good. Attached are a few of the Amsco units. G.M.

Keith-

I have a '35 with an oiler. Locating the oiler had a self-imposed problem. I did not want to drill any holes in the firewall or the frame. To get around this I used the two bolts that hold my radio. I made a metal horizontal strip that reached from one radio bolt to the other. Next, I made two metal strips attached to the horizontal strip that were bent downard following the profile of the firewall. On the ends of these strips I made another horizontal strip where I mounted the oiler. On the backside of this strip I used some self-sticking high density rubber. As you can see in the picture I also use this same bracket to mount my voltage regulator. No problems with this insulation and it has been on there for several years.

Re: Ansco MMO oiler

I have one on our 46. Takes some trips to get the "feed rate" set. The level goes down in mine about 1/4" in 100 miles. I also pour about 4 oz. in the tank when I gas up (8 gallons). This way it goes thru the inside of the carb. Seems to work fine. If mounted on the firewall, be sure to make a coil in the line to the carb to dampen vibration between the unit and the engine.

Thank you gentlemen, The pictures help. A bracket useing my Volt. Reg. holes will keep from drilling any more holes. Also it looks like, from Flatheadfan's picture, that it doesn't matter if the bottle is below the carb. level. I think I can T into the vacuum plate line that is there for a gasolene heater. Re: Ansco MMO oiler

You could also mount it from the radiator rods. G.M.

This is my solution. I made a bracket to be symmetrical with the oil filter canister. I am trying to "busy up" the engine compartment.
