Steering box oil level 31 p/u

Was looking for how much oil to fill my books say 2.5 oz but on ford barn they say talk fill it up anyone that could help thanks tom the steering box in my truck

Fill it. I've always used PennRite steering box lube. It DOESN'T leak out.

Cornhead grease for me (mines a leaker) works well

I always fill to the fill plug level. I don't know how the upper bearing would get lubricated at lower fill levels.

Put in 2.5 oz and see how it looks, if'n it needs more to be full, put it in.
