Selling a car to someone in Sweden. Any advice suggestions or help on this process would be appreciated! :)

Hi; I just sold a car to Germany- buyer made all the arrangements and sent a truck after bank transfer [a week]. You shouldn't have to do anything but watch your bank account, and fill out some provided paperwork. Newc

From my perspective, as someone who bought 2 cars off US sellers, In one instance the seller delivered the car to an address provided by the shipping company. I paid for any expenses incurred and his time to do that. For some people moving cars is easier than for others. I'm struggling to remember what happened what happened in the second case, but I suspect it was a similar scenario.
It is the buyer's responsibility to find a company to do the shipping and that company will explain what they expect. Normally the provide an address for the vehicle to be delivered to. If the seller has local knowledge and can help al well and good, but the buyer must make arrangements for the vehicle to be transported if the seller can't help.

It's a matter of trust. Work together and things can be worked out.

The buyer is having to put the most amount of trust into the situation. They have to send a large amount of money to a stranger in a foreign land.

I sold my ‘42 PU to a guy in Sweden, he had someone go over it. Then he wired the funds to my account. Week later a fellow shows up with a trailer and a few cars on it, I handed him the title and he loaded it up and went.

Just make sure the company that has anything to do with transporting the car does NOT have the word Stockholm in their company name.
They will keep all the money and you’ll never see the car again.

I recently sold a friend's car to someone in Germany. As noted, the buyer made all the arrangements. Had the money direct deposited to my bank. Smooth transaction.

A guy here does that professionally. He is a club member and a personal friend. I gave him my '29 Packard and he detailed it and hustled it worldwide. I did nothing. It was stopped at our border for paperwork which he did. No sweat
