Little Something For the Town Sedan-ers 2 Attachment(s)
Found this in the stuff my dad had collected around the time he bought the '29 in the avatar. Volume 16, Issue 4 Nov./Dec. 1971.
Real nice issue on Town Sedans, even a pic and a blurb of a Les Andrews posing with his 29. I think he may have written a book or something about these cars... Anyway, if anyone is looking for some Firestones for their cars, they've got 'em advertised for $21.15 each (tubes $3.25)... These are 1971 prices, I'm guessing 2014 prices are a wee bit higher! |
Re: Little Something For the Town Sedan-ers Order me 5 so I have a spare. Thanks!

Re: Little Something For the Town Sedan-ers I have a 1929 Town Sedan that I have owned since 1970. Murray body with factory or dealer installed twin side mounts and Kari King trunk. Still has Medallian on right front cowl.
I also have the 1971 Restorers magazine. This ole car has never been restored. Charlie |
Re: Little Something For the Town Sedan-ers I love the 29 Town Sedan. Bill Lancaster was the Town Sedan guru and probably did the article it looks like his sedan on the cover. He convinced me to get one back in the 70s when I was a member of the Santa Clara Chapter and touring with them. They are a great tour car!

I would love to see a picture or pictures of your 1929 Murray town sedan. I have only seen one that was not restored, and it was repainted. I also have a 29 Murray that I am restoring and I would love to see an original color. Thanks, S Dunn |

The car is (was) black and never been repainted, but mostly rust color now. Charlie |
