Deuceheaven Video by Mecum Auctions

This was posted today on Youtube by Mecum Auctions. It's just over 6 minutes long and has a little history about the '32 Ford and Gene Hetland's DeuceHeaven in Minnesota. Even though they're selling off some of his collection it's not an in your face sale ad, very tastefully done.

How will his cars sell , high or low and will the strictly stock bring more or less than modified cars .

I'm guessing high like the Dingman auction a few years ago. These are pristine cars.

Mecum is certainly hyping it up. Look how they advertised the the "Bullet " Mustang, that presentation resulted in big money for the car.

The auction companies RUINED RUINED RUINED the old car hobby, one company in particular started it all, and they made it so if you buy a car at their auction you have to use one of the car haulers they provide, these cars are NOT WORTH the price they are selling for, now everyone that has a car for sale thinks it is worth the INFLATED price they bring at the auctions

In the end the cars are only worth what the demand dictates , it is how you and your fellow bidders value them , and I love his 32s !

I don't think that's actually the case. The terms and conditions provided on the auction registration form do not make any mention of such a policy.

They were obviously worth whatever they sold for that particular day to the people who bid on it.

Seems like you have a lot of sour grapes.

Thanks for that Gary. I've saved this to my "Library". I also have a big book "32 Ford Deuce" by Tony Thacker. I bought it about 6 years ago and it is still in its plastic wrapper. I plan to "open" it next April when I retire from work.

If anyone has a very nice 32 they are thinking of selling wait until after the auction. The results will set the bar for the next year or so.
