AC in Flatheadd 8 or 6 Shoebox

Is anyone running an AC system in your flathead shoebox? Is there enough power to run an AC system?

Answer is "yes". Overheating seems can be a problem. More info here.

I think Vintage Air has all the components including brackets for the flathead.

An alternator would likely be a better bet than a generator. Setting at long winded stop lights or other similar situations with the AC on may be a problem with the flatheads. The AC compressor has a pretty good current draw and added to the evaporator fan, an application like this may put a strain on a 35-amp system. If a person adds an electric radiator fan, it just gets worse.

I run alternators in all of my cars the 50 and Model A both. Perhaps AC not needed if I can cut the heat coming into the car.

it can be done but your cooling system will need to be in A1 condition
