Does anyone make early 28 manifold washers?

Hey glenn,
Do you have a picture of what you're asking for ?
I may have three in my parts cans, if I can see a example :)

Re: manifold washers

Snyder's has the heavy, cup shaped washers for $4.75 a set. The problem is you'll probably pay more for the shipping than the washers.

make sure you install them properly if you find them.

Re: manifold washers

So what's all this about manifold washers? Will my manifold get dirty without one? Is it a dry cleaning process, or is there a jug of soap and water included?

Vacum or electric?:D

They're pictured in the judging standards. I've never seen one for real.

Hey glenn,
Hm, 'judging standards'....never have seen one of those myself :) !

I just have cans of 'stuff' old original Ford bolts, etc. I know that I have a few of those manifold washers, that are very thick and curved a bit.
Just didn't know that one year A Model might be different than other Model A years ?

Here's the picture from the Judging Guidelines. The early 28 is the one on the right.

Re: manifold washers

Glen,

I do not believe any one is making the early 28 manifold washer.

I was lucky that they were still on the original engine in A 1276.

Re: manifold washers

Glenn, Doc Kalinka had some sets of new ones a few years back that someone had made. They looked spot on. I don't know if he still has sthem but might know someone who does.

Re: manifold washers

Mick Isbell was the guy that made the repro ones. I don't think anyone has done it sense he did.

Hey Rusty,
Thanks for showing me that picture /information. Well, the three that I've found , of course, are one shown on left. However, now I know !
