Carb Screen Anyone know if there is any problem running Zenith carb with the inside filter screen removed? Just screen removed threaded fitting installed.

Re: Carb Screen I can’t imagine why you would not use the screen, but if your tank is clean, it won’t hurt anything leaving it out.

Re: Carb Screen I had an issue recently where the threads on the filter part were stripped, so I briefly ran the car with just a standard bolt in there to plug the hole. Worked fine. Leaked a little out of the threads, but that was expected.

Re: Carb Screen Just make sure your fuel line does not touch the screen. It will block flow.

Re: Carb Screen 1 Attachment(s)
If you haven't done so I would suggest installing the pencil filter in the tank and
remove the filter at the carb, in my opinion there is better fuel flow without it. |

I concur with those who have said that the car will run fine without the filter in the carburettor but I'd replace it as soon as convenient. |
