Long time lurker first time posting, so the story starts off like this. I have to give my girlfriend all credit for the find. she was working and came across a picture of the 36 5 window and older gentleman standing next to it. she struck up conversation and come to find out it was the ladies father and his car. she went on to tell here how I was building a 1930 model a and always loved seeing old cars around. lady then tells her that her fathers car will be for sale soon and my girlfriend gives her our info to contact us when it is. couple weeks goes by and find out that one of the guys I work with is going over a older car and getting it road ready so I ask about it and wouldn't you know its the same 36. so while he's working on it I go over and check it out and see what's going on. he tells me he will put in a good word for me. After awhile I get contacted about the car. I had one or two other buyers in front of me to purchase it. So after months of waiting and phone call after phone call the title was transferred and I have it home safe in the garage. it will need some love to get it completely road ready, but now on to what yall really want to see PICTURES!!!!!!!

WOW! Nice car. I'd drive the hell out of it.

Please keep posting back with us on your adventures in this coupe.

Also, congrats on your girlfriends keen eye for old Fords. She's a keeper I'd say. My wife would have done the opposite. She'd have found a buyer for my cars:D.

A lovely car in a very nice colour. She's a beaut!

Hydraulic brakes and a later rear.

You won't stumble across them like that very often. Take care of it.

Nice shop too!

Mart.

Hey, good for you! Maybe you will get lucky and that 21 stud might be an LB (insert main bearing) block. Please move those front hydraulic hard lines up where they can't get snagged on something. Look at where a 39 or 40 Ford runs them.
Happy for your great luck.

Nice find. I second Mike's suggestion about moving those brake lines. They don't belong under the frame.

Very sharp, just picked a 35 myself. So the education begins.

Great score, my Dads car when he got home from WWII was a '36 rumble seat coupe, I have a few b&w photos of it, I always wanted one but couldn't find a decent one I could afford.

For you two "newbies" to the V-8 and '36 world you might want to purchase the Early Ford V-8 Club's 1935-36 Ford book. Lots of great information on your cars. You might want to also join the Early Ford V-8 Club so you can receive the bi-monthly magazine, The V-8 Times. Go to ;www.earlyfordv8.org.

Nicely played.

Mechman 22 what's this?

Careful with those two post frame engaging lifts. In my experience these cars like lifting from their front axle or rear radius rods before they meet the axle bells. The frame wasn't really made to support the weight of the car like you'd expect. It's made to be very flexible.
