41 ignition switch rebuild

I’ve spent way to many hours on this to date only to end up mounting a set of switches under the dash to bypass the stock switch. I want to go back to the stock switch but nut until I have it perfect. Are there any suppliers of all the components that go in the metal enclosure or ideally the whole switch assembly?
Thks in advance

Also any links for rebuilding this thing would be helpful.

I just "rebuilt" mine. Not sure if your '41 is like my '47, but I replaced the switch plate inside the metal enclosure...part # 09A-3704. The rest of the "innards" were in good shape. C&G Ford Parts had what I needed, but there were a bunch of switch related parts on Ebay.

You will have to pry the cover off the enclosure...it's kind of riveted on, but the two mounting screws will hold the cover in place when you put it back together.

Good luck, it will be good to get rid of the "band aids"!

Thks I’ve had this switch all apart a few times I also made a tapered screw that holds it all in place because the case openings are about 7/32 and the screw is only1/8 in dis so that left a fair amount of play.
I’ll check out c|g ford later
Thks

I used a piece of thread to hold the movable part in place . It gets interesting trying to hold the switch together while installing the switch. while upside down on the seat.

Yes, it does....particularly with my 79 year old body!!! (Getting under there wasn't as challenging as betting back out again!) I thought about using some Gorilla super glue on the two ears once I assembled the switch on the bench, but made do without that.

When I rebuit mine, I taped the two halfs together with small pieces of painters tape on the edges. when almost tight I pulled the tape off and tightened.
