Fit gasket over the four studs protruding from rear mount, then the inner hemispherical cover. That covers the universal joint. Then fit another gasket over the four studs. So, now you have a gasket each side of that inner cover. Offer up the torque tube, aligning the uni joint into the driveshaft. Then, fit the outer two halves over the whole kaboodle, ensuring the felt seal is correctly located in the grooves in each half. The four nuts need to be 5/8 A/F, originally castellated nuts, I use nyloc nuts. And a coupla 3/8 bolts, nuts, spring washers hold the two halves together.

And, the half with the grease nipple goes on the bottom so you can access said nipple from under vehicle. You can fill the assembly with semi-fluid grease through the speedo drive opening before fitting the turtle.

If you want to, you can also add a grease fitting to the top of the clam shell assembly so you can add grease from the top. This grease fitting assembly is home made. You might want to consider using the new and improved neoprene clam shell seal as it is much more durable than the original cork seal. Also, don't forget to install the two paper clam shell gaskets BEFORE installing U-joint to the splines of transmission. Otherwise you will have to cut the paper gaskets to install them. Buy it here:
