Time to get out and Mark your calendars

Well it has happened all of the local swap meets have been canceled and Debbie is tired of tripping over all of my treasures. SO today we decided to do another parking lot sale at Bratton's in Mount Airy Md. I'll have a pile of stuff that i'm selling lots of MOdel A parts, and some v-8 parts. We are opening it up so others can set up and sell some of their stuff as well, but because of space there are a limited number of spots. We've been cleared through the county health department so we are a go. The dates are July 25-26 with rain dates Aug 1-2.

Bratton's will be closed but if you place your orders ahead of time you can pick it up at the meet and save some on the shipping.

If you would like a vending spot send an e-mail to [email protected]

Happy to hear from you. Stay safe. I'm struggling with AFIB and may not attend the gathering.

It's official Model A pinstriper Jim Brand will be here and will be pinstriping cars while you wait. Slots are limited and you must sign up before the event for a spot. Send your request to Debbie @ [email protected] to reserve your spot.

I’m just checking before I make the drive. Is this event still on?

This is still a go. It's gonna be hot and sunny and maybe a stray shower but lots and lots of stuff to be sold. Come on in.

Well the swap meet is all wrapped up. Debbie and I would like to thank all of the other vendors (14) that showed up without much notice and were flexible with some kinks that arose as with any event. We'd also like to thank the customer who showed up. With all of the craziness going on in the country it was great to see such a large crowd respecting each other's space and personal decisions to wear a mask or not to wear a mask. I'm also very thankful that an offer was made for everything that was left over. As we were setting this up Debbie and I knew we did not have the space to bring all of the leftover parts back into the building. At that time we had to make plans to have the excess hauled off to the scrap yard. Thankfully, we were approached by some individuals who knew of our plans and made me an offer that i could not refuse on all of the leftover parts. So fear not the leftovers will live again in somebody's car.

Now it's time for me to start looking for the next deal....... just don't tell Debbie.

Jeff, your boldness to host this deal is greatly appreciated by me, -and likely many others. This is not about debating whether it is/was the 'politically correct' thing to do, ...but instead it was giving the opportunity for others to assess the risk for themselves and to participate in the hobby. I appreciate your boldness.

Now, by chance did you take any pictures that you can post??
