Watch this and try not to be impressed! (34 ford) Not sure if this has been linked before, but well worth a watch. I watched at half speed to catch all the details.

Neat film! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. P.S. Everything in it is '34. |

Re: Watch this and try not to be impressed! (33 ford) Great video! Towards the end it was interesting to see the guy using the striping machine. Would be nice to have one of those to stripe your own car. Thanks Mart.

Re: Watch this and try not to be impressed! (33 ford) Hand made cars. Not a robot in sight.
I wonder how those hard-working people made it home with all of their fingers and toes. |
Re: Watch this and try not to be impressed! (33 ford) Highlights for me were seeing the 8 valve seats being cut at once, the grille being pressed, which shows how hard it must be to reproduce one, the axle tubes being welded and the bells fitted, the three pieced of the rear body being welded, the big grinding wheel dressing the welds, which explains the marks on my 32 sedan roof and all the frame parts being pressed and assembled. Many many other points of interest.

Re: Watch this and try not to be impressed! (34 ford) Good job Mart!…..it looked like three guys in the car doing the interior?……there’s a long movie about The Rouge that’s very interesting……once I get started watching those old black & white films, I can lose a whole afternoon…….Mark

Re: Watch this and try not to be impressed! (34 ford) Look at 3:25, one worker swings white hot steel, (or is it copper?) by another worker's head, just one sneeze away from disaster.
