Charlie NY just messaged me the his beloved wife, Alice, passed away at 11:30 last night with Charlie at her side. Our sincere condolences to Charlie and his family. Charlie will miss Alice as all of us who new her will miss her, too.

I did not know Charlie and Alice, but iv'e been on ford barn long enough to understand why they were loved by all. sad news for sure. i pray that time will heal for Charlie and family as well as Barn friends. Tom.

Very sorry to learn about Alice. Charlie had converted a Chevy distributor for my '51, and then I met and talked to both of them soon after at one of the V8 meets in Auburn. Alice went out of her way to give my friend and I event hats in spite of my flathead '32 being a hot rod. Sorry for your loss Charlie. RIP Alice.

Very sad news, met Charlie and Alice several times, once in Dearborn and again in Auburn. Both times at Early Ford V8 meets, both wonderful people. Our prayers and condolences go out to Charley and his family.

I agree with the thought of bringing Charlie back into the Forum - that would give Charlie much needed support. I also know what it is to lose a spouse - empty house and the only thing that talks is the TV. Not pleasant. My sincere best wishes and support for Charlie.

I'm so sorry, Charlie. I lost my charming bride of many years quite unexpectedly a year and a half ago. I was preparing for me to go first with my health problems. "Bill OH" is right. The TV is the only company you have to make human sounds after a loss like this. I suspect that Charlie isn't the type to have the TV on very often. I've tried to make the Ford Barn my 'GO-TO' for companionship for all the days ahead. Charlie only has his shop and 'test' engine to keep his days busy. It should be obvious from this thread that Miss Alice was a well-loved Lady. I believe we can all say pretty much the same about that Charlie character, as well.
