Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? It would be great if all that info was available in print, like a book similar to jwl's book. Stuff gets lost on the internet. I would buy it.

I believe that EVERYONE would have to agree that "Rumble Seat's Works" should now be considered as 'BEING PUBLISHED', thanks to Glenn. You put a hell of a lot of effort into that, my friend. VERY well-done! The Coopman . |

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? I'm glad that everyone likes it. However I was just the scribe. Rumbleseat did all the heavy lifting!

Thank you guys for getting this done. A tremendous gift to the hobby. Phil |

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? I just completed compiling the "Techno Source for the 1932 thru 1953 Flathead Ford".
It is posted on Dropbox. The internet archives, https://archive.org/ were used as the source. I had to check multiple captures to get many images. There are still a few that I couldn't get. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/md7neas9mfm1t9qblpbh3/Techno-Source-for-the-1932-thru-1953-Flathead-Ford.pdf?rlkey=am1soxk8q3qogvrlxzr6n2jbr&dl=0 My pdf has bookmarks and a table of contents, TOC, however with Dropbox, the bookmarks aren't visible but the TOC links work fine. However you can download the file from Dropbox and the TOC links and bookmarks will also work. Glenn |

Holy Techno Source, Glenn-MAN! You've gone and done it now * * KA-POW! Now, if only someone could talk Ryan into issuing a STICKY up top with a dedicated link to EACH of these extremely valuable tech sources, available to everyone and within easy reach, FOREVER! Coopman . |
Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? Hi Coop!
"Now, if only someone could talk Ryan into issuing a STICKY up top with a dedicated link to EACH of these extremely valuable tech sources, available to everyone and within easy reach, FOREVER!" Exactly my thoughts when I was figuring out how to post the file this morning. Glenn This took MANY hours to compile |

Glenn ..... 'Barners owe you a gi-hugic "THANK YOU"! YOU are one of the few here on The 'Barn that has it in ya to step-up to the plate when these types of projects need "doing". I can only begin to imagine how many hours you put into making all of this happen. Again, KUDOS to your dedication!! Now, back to our regular programming schedule! Coop . |
Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? I've added "Flathead Engine Identification Version" under "Engine Building" and James Leis update to the Compression Tables.
The update in Dropbox is here below. This replaces the link shown in post #19 above. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/hbise...kjpb7bre0&dl=0 Glenn |

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? This is a huge contribution. Thank you Glenn for making this great source of early Ford information available. And, of course, long distance Thanks to Rumbleseat for sharing way back. Excellent!

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? Glenn - had a great time with Rumbleseat when he came west and stopped by my shop.
On a business trip to Denver, I met up with him and his friends at their weekly breakfast. We drove to and from my hotel in the roadster, in the winter. It was fun. Appreciate you taking the time to pull and the info together. Those in the northeast have been hit with some cold temps. Hope you guys are doing well. |

Yes, we've been getting hammered with 50-60 mph winds and deluges of rain. No huge snow yet. Snowing now with 3 to 6" expected today. https://news.yahoo.com/person-kayaks...220443076.html https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...5&d=1705417211 |

Thanks a ton. This is essential for anyone with an old Ford. Your efforts are much appreciated. Tim |
Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? The Early Ford V-8 Club has a great book on the evolution of the flathead from '32-53. It can be purchased on the club's website. www.earlyfordv8.org. the book is $60.

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? Great job Glenn . . . much appreciate your efforts in this area - wonderful!

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? Glenn, your resurrection of this resource is greatly appreciated. My RG had reluctantly removed it from our website due to a broken link, and now is back to stay thanks to your efforts: goldengatev8.org

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? Good to hear this Alan!
I sent a PM to Ryan yesterday asking him to make a "sticky" of both documents so hoping for the best. No response to this earlier attempt: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showp...4&postcount=80 Glenn |
Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? I also want to publicly thank Glenn for his efforts, he has put a lot of time into the pdf combining a lot of very good flathead Ford V8 information.

I've been working on capturing our own literature and pictures so they're not lost forever with changes or terminated niche interest groups and photo hosting sites. Who hasn't experienced the missing photos , e.g. Photo Bucket? :-( Glenn |

Re: Was "Rumble Seat" published? Coop PM'd me yesterday and suggested that I could keep the links to Techno and Rumble Seat accessible by adding it to my "signature" so that is what you can see below. I think it will work well in lieu of a pinned or sticky message.
All earlier links in messages to the forum will not work as I revise the two pdfs. Rumble Seat's notes are static at this point and I hope the same for Techno. I have added a date field to this pdf for tracking purposes. If you have trouble opening the links, please let me know. Also note that Dropbox will ask you to join which is not required to view these pdfs. Best regards, Glenn |
