Frank Miller Many of you know Frank Miller through Ford Barn or the Early Ford V8 Club. Frank has not been on the barn for a while because he has liver cancer and is in hospice. Last night Frank gave me permission to write this post and he wishes to bid all of his friends a very fond farewell. It has been a great ride!
You probably know him as a member of the New England Regional Group where he attended many national meets in his grey Mercury convertible and always made new lifelong friends wherever he traveled. Several of us from the New England RG visited with Frank last night and I do have to say that the cancer hasn't effected his sense of humor at all. He had all of us in stitches. Only Frank could do that!!!! He is very receptive to having visitors, but just not too many at a time he said, because he does get very tired easily. Send me a PM if you want more information. -Mike Brown |
Re: Frank Miller That is the most terrible news. I hope they are keeping him comfortable. I saw and talked with him at many West Coast National Meets. He really put the miles on that convertible.

Re: Frank Miller So sorry to hear that, as a member of the Albany, ny region, I remember Frank when we did a joint venture in 2011 putting on a regional meet in Saratoga Springs . Great to work with, a true Ford guy.

Re: Frank Miller Hate to hear that about Frank! Frank is one of the good guys for certain. Will miss seeing him at Hershey and other Early Ford Meets. Also enjoyed his travels with his '49 Convertible. Praying for you Frank!

Re: Frank Miller I'm very sorry to hear about Frank having this. I never spoke Frank at length, but I remember him being friendly and always having a smile at the Early Ford V8 meets.
I will pray for Him and his Family. Very sad news. Sal |

Re: Frank Miller Damn, hate to hear this about Frank. He just one heck of a great guy and had a chance to travel with him at a couple of Western meets. A fun loving guy with tons of good jokes. For those that visit him, remind him of his missed chance to pick up a lady hitchhiker on the Oregon coast. God Bless Frank. His quick wit and humor won't be forgotten. Tom

Re: Frank Miller I will be visiting with Frank this evening and I will share with him all of your kind words. I'm sure that Frank will appreciate it and thanks for sharing. And I will probably hear a few stories.....

Re: Frank Miller I'm deeply sadden to say that Frank passed away Monday morning.
In true Frank fashion, he's asked that a car show be held as a celebration of his life. For those in the area, it will be at the Auburn Elks Club in Auburn, MA. The date is tbd. He donated his beloved '49 convertible to the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum. |
Re: Frank Miller God bless Frank and the humor level in Heaven will go up a couple of notches. Very thoughtful of Frank to donate his convertible to the Early Ford V-8 Foundation in Auburn.

Re: Frank Miller Prayers and healing for Frank and his family. RIP our V8 Friend!!!

Re: Frank Miller Rest in peace Frank.

Re: Frank Miller Wonderful tribute to Frank's life online and his love of working on cars with his dad.
Interestingly, a year ago today he posted about his cross country trip to the Western National meet in WA, as part of his larger travel log there and back to MA. His posts were just like making the trip with him in that beautiful '49 convertible!! Really loved them! Reminds us that life is fragile....we are blessed with every day!! |
Re: Frank Miller God bless and R.I.P.
|
Re: Frank Miller I didn't know Frank, but followed his cross country trip a few years ago quite closely. It was really an impresive endeavor. I am greatly saddened to hear this.
It doubly efffects me, as my best friend in high school was also named Frank Miller. He was a "car guy", and we kept in touch for almost 65 years and then he just dropped off the map about 4 years ago. This brings more bad feelings for me. (Actually, a sad realization.) |
Re: Frank Miller And so, Denny, you had 65 years with a great friend. To my point, give thanks for each one of those 23,725 days he and you were great friends!!
No bad feelings, both are hopefully in a better place. Just saying. |
Re: Frank Miller May he rest in peace. Condolences to his family and loved ones.

Re: Frank Miller So sad, gone way too young.
|
Re: Frank Miller The link for Frank's obituary worked for me and gave me some info on Frank that I did not know. Glad I got to see him at the last Western V-8 Meet in Wenatchee, Washington. He did leave us way too soon.
|
Re: Frank Miller Rest in peace Frank. I also was able to talk with Frank at the Wenatchee meet last year. He had a wonderful thread going on his trip to the Oregon meet in 2017. It's called the Great Northern Route 2. Frank took the time to stop by my house on that trip, got to hear first-hand on his adventures. He will be missed.

Re: Frank Miller The Lord’s peace to his family. Godspeed, Mr. Miller.
