On Tuesday we lost another great Ford Barn member, Bill Wzorek. He was THE man for rebuilding early ford leaver shocks, and always had the answers. He attended the Barners winter get-togethers and added a lot to the fun.
I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all, Chuck.

Met Bill at Hershey a number of years ago. I think he had a green 48 Tudor that was mentioned on the Barn. Really nice guy.

So sad to hear this, reading Bills posts on shocks made me decide to have my shocks rebuilt rather than replace them with airplane style shocks. We’ve lost too many great people this year.

For me, Bill was the go-to guy for shock absorber restoration and all of my cars are the better thanks to his skill and experience. I always looked forward to seeing him in person at Hershey. My condolences to his family; may he rest in peace.

Alice and I had the pleasure of meeting Bill and his lovely wife at their home in Mass.
I delivered a bunch of shocks for exchange and brought him some cores that I had no
use for. Always the perfect gentleman ,Bill took me out back and had me gaze upon two mountains of core shock and a 3/4 full 6 wheeler containing more cores. We all remember
when Bill became the shock "go to guy' and sampled his EXCELLENT service....his last
years were tough.....too soon gone.

Bill was an amazing guy ... he rebuilt all four of my lever shocks for my 35 Coupe ... recommending I switch to 36 fronts (bigger damping capacity) while retaining my rears. When completed ... he personally delivered them to my house with his trusty dog at his side! What a guy he was ... RIP.

I never met Bill, but did have a couple of communications with him. Seemed like a nice fellow. I understand his shock building ability was unsurpassed. Condolences to his family and friends.

My shocks were rebuilt by the fellow (?) that trained Bill and sold his business to him. Give me time and I will remember his name.
Anyway, I knew Bill from the Barners get together at Vic's in Florida. Great craftsman and made some great trophies for our meets.
One time I drove our 46 over the mountain and picked up Bill in Geenfield. Then we drove up to Ol'Ron's for a fun visit. His area had just had bad floods so a few detours to get to Ron's. I thinks Jeff may post some pictures of the Florida's barner bash and Bill and the trophies he crafted.
Sad to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.

Bill took on a healthy responsibility from the "master" of lever shock rebuilds and did a solid job of it. I think we all recognized he was less prolific here during the past several months and I hope there was no suffering associated to his limitations.

All his friends and family are issued my best thoughts.

As far as I remember, Andy Falandes is still rebuilding them. He took Bill Wzorek's business when Bill retired.

Hi Chuck; I remember you and I and Bill and some other Barners spending time together at the Fitchburg MA car show years ago. Bill was one of those guys you meet in life and like right away. RIP Bill and my prayers to his family, Craig.

And, just like that, our world is again diminished! Bill and his wife were wonderful people, just full of energy and ideas: the awards he created at several ‘Barn get~togethers were absolutely creative and memorable. He never met a stranger and his word was his bond. Bill was a true believer and we know where he is today: in the arms of Jesus, home for the holidays! Rest In Peace, Brother!

Bill took over Louie "No leak Louie" Trinque's business and bought all his inventory. He apprenticed with him long enough to not let the secrets die and has been key to maintaining this chain of knowledge.
Bill posted on here about going to Hershey and as I had Louie's spots I offered him a space so people looking for Louie could find Bill.
That started a friendship and yearly tradition until Bill could no longer do the job due to getting ALS, better known as Lou Gherig's disease. He and and wife Lee were great people for us to hang out with there.

I'm happy to say that I met Bill and wife LeeAnn at the first Barner's gathering that I attended in Florida, 2010. I could not have met better friends than everyone I met there. Bill absolutely loved hanging out with all of us. Bill built at least three complete sets of original '35 shocks for my cars, and the set on my main driver are still working well after many years and miles.
Be assured that Bill trained Andy Falandes well, just as he was well trained by Louie Trinque.

I really ambushed them when I snapped this... Who likes to smile for a photo when they have a fork in their hand?

Bill made beautiful awards to be handed out that day.

I also remember seeing a "special edition" oil pressure sender wrench adapter that Bill crafted. Who's got that snapshot?
