Fordbarn Shirt, Poster ALL: Over the past several years, I have observed several Fordbarn Family discussing Fordbarn shirts, etc. Years ago, under the tuteledge of Shelly, Fordbarn shirts as well as a poster, made from photographs of members vehicles were available. I purchased a number of these shirts and posters: yesterday, I discovered a Fordbarn shirt (I had assumed they had all been worn out and discarded); as well, I have the poster framed and mounted on my garage wall. My attempts to post pictures have met with dismal failure, so I have enlisted the aid of V8coopman, who will shortly post the pictures. This in no way should be construed as anything other than a history lesson ..... And may be of interest to some of the Fordbarn Family.

And below, friends, are pictures of the FordBarn shirt and the FordBarn iteration of The U.S. Flag from the "Ms. Shelly" era that Marcus has so graciously elected to share with our Group. A lesson in history, indeed! DD https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...9&d=1616972353 https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...0&d=1616972378 |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Holy Cow! I have 2 of those posters in mint condition. My Dad must have bought them as both our '32's are in/on it. They've been rolled up safely in the closet all these years. Dad passed in 2016 and though we knew about them never knew where they came from. Many thanks to Marcus for the history lesson and Coop for posting the pics. Does anyone know of the approximate year these were produced?

Pulled them out of the closet. Lighting isn't good for the flag. This is what's on the back.

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Tom - I don't recall the exact year, but I think Shelly sold Fordbarn in 2010; I recall we had a Fordbarn meet in 2009 (in Auburn?), and I had them at that time. I am guessing 2007 or 08 - I do know that I was also blessed to have my '47 Pickup included on the flag, and I purchased that vehicle in 2005.

It would be interesting if any members whose cars are on the flag would post that information. Might be fun to start a list of participants if there is any interest. Just a thought. Tom |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster I might be the only one but I don’t see any pictures on the flag. Wayne

of small pictures members submitted. They were arranged based on color to emulate the stars and stripes. I took some close ups with my minimal skills. This was a composition technique I've seen in art before. Where or when I don't recall. |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster 1 Attachment(s)
One more from slightly further back. Perhaps V8Coopman can enlarge it. Anyway, you get the idea. It's very interesting and entertaining to view. I recall the art world got publicity when this technique was published. A big picture made of small pictures.

Duly enlarged as requested! DD https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...5&d=1616995490 |

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster The Auburn V8 Meet was memorable.....we set up in the swap meet between Roy Nacewicz and Mac and Shelly. Mac and Shelly were newly weds as I recall and they
and Alice and I had a refreshment stand at our motorhome...great time for sure. With neighbors like we had business boomed. Redneck and Barb further electrified things. Mike Kubarth and perhaps others provided baseball caps. I met FlatJack Meyer for the time....Jack drove his '39 from Oshkosh. Seems like yesterday. Charlie ny |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster I remember it well. Had a great time.

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster I've got a Barn shirt like the one posted but without the collar.:)

I have a word document with a list of the people & cars used that is 100 pages worth of text if anyone wants to decipher it, i will send it your way. |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Wow! Nice to hear from you, Shelly! My '50 Convertible is on the flag and I have trouble finding it every time!

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Thank you for weighing in, Model A Lady - great to hear from you! And thank you for validating my memory. The '09 meet was very special in so many ways ...... I think it was Roy that furnished both hats and the magnetic dash plaque ( still have mine somewhere ). I think this was where I received a wonderful tutorial from Kube on a '40 Coupe I was considering .... But the deal never materialized. Pretty sure this was also where I was introduced to Stephen, Alice and Charlie's three-legged cat; all while sipping coffee provided by Shelly, Mac, Charlie and Alice. Also pretty sure Redneck has not forgiven me for ragging on him for trailering his truck (even though mine had the same fate)!
Such memories! Perhaps we should approach Ryan about garments of some sort - I confess I have no knowledge of the mechanics of such an undertaking..... |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster A true Model A Lady. Thank you for who you are and what you did. We will never meet but I admire and respect you. Keep well! Wayne

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Quote:
I'm also in favor of donating the proceeds in order to maintain this forum. What I'd like to get a decent consensus on is what type of shirts would be most popular. Tees? Polos? |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Quote:
Anyone here a graphic designer? It may be cool to update the design a bit if that's not too much trouble for printing/embroidering. |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Awesome Guys. Can we use the newer logo from the website to top left corner?

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Very, very cool, Kube: as always, ready to step in and help! And I know your gracious wife would be all in, as well! ( Assuming you can get her off the horses, of course)! I much prefer a polo style, and certainly willing to pay the price (but will make a formal vote when the poll is introduced).

Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Quote:
I'm not a polo guy but I'd be in for a Tee. If you can get Ryan to sign on this project might take off. |
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Great idea. Hey Kube, are mechanics shirts out of the question because of cost?
|
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster I'm in if it's approved, XL Polo please.
|
Re: Fordbarn Shirt, Poster Waiting to hear back from the Boss. Once I hear back from Ryan, I'll create a poll to gauge interest.
