Enjoyable...but at the end it has a Finish banner showing. Kind of a weird race track that only has a start and end to it unless it's the downhill version of Pikes Peak!

Sorry guys, and don't hate me, but I think that sounds like a 301" Chevy under the hood. Y'all remember those...a 283 bored to 4" back in the day! NO banjo rear end visible under the car, either. Have any of ya noticed the single, stock '40 Ford-type exhaust pipe (easily seen at 3:27 in the video)? Or how about the rubber left on the road by the rear tires drifting around the corners, like at 1:30, 1:37, 2:25 and 2:33?

The great tune accompanying this bonzai ride up the fictitious coast is titled "Shu Bop", and done by none other than Dion DiMucci, more famously-known by "Dion and the Belmonts", although DiMucci left the Belmonts in 1960 after three years with the group to go on to further fame in his own right. This song was actually recorded in 1993 for use in a motion picture which unfortunately, never materialized. The song was finally released in 2000. One downright cool little '40 coupe, fu shur! DD

It's a fun bit of entertainment.

In the comments section someone asks "what game?" and the answer is "Mods for Assetto Corsa".

I don't do computer games but it looks like a racing game where you can download different digitised cars. The 40 coupe must be amongst them. Lots of different tracks are available, too.

Google Mods for Assetto Corsa and you'll see what I am trying to describe.

It has to be said that the graphics and vehicle dynamics are very good.

Awe....C'mon Man! I seriously thought you would have known ME a little better than that by now, Alan. When I initially ran across this video the other night, it just hit me as to how much effort that someone pretty knowledgeable in '40 Fords and old hot rods went to to make such an iconic car look, act and sound so realistic. First of all, I was kind'a showing my age. And secondly, I was politely playing-along with a couple of folks that seemed to take the car in the video as the real deal. Amazingly, I did have one of our well-recognized 'regulars' PM me, commenting on the car as if it was real (whom I'll never reveal the identity of)! So....IT'S a FAKE, girls & boys.....and Alan. But it's a damned good one! DD
