Hi Off The Hog

Getting hungry for a good meal sitting here with not to much
to do. Called my local Yacht Club that is doing take outs and
went wild. French onion soup, Lobster tail stuffed with crab
meat and the veggies that go with it and run spiked pecan
pie. If I don't get indigestion from the bill it sounds good. I
think I won't look at the bill until I'm finished. I think I'll
call back and order a salad. G.M.

Wow! Yacht club luncheon. Life is good. Very good.
Guess I'll just go open my canned tuna.

No not lunch, I pick it up at 5:30 for dinner. You could find a fancy
name for the tuna, it might taste better. G.M.

"Lobster tail stuffed with crab meat" What happens to the lobster meat out of the tail? I always thought the lobster tail was the best part of the lobster. I could be wrong. Bill from Nova Scotia Lobster Capital of the World..

G.M. glad you had a good meal, things are always better with "curly fries" and finished with a good O'l Whoopie Pie

They dip the tail in hot water for a few minutes then pull the lobster
out of the shell from the head end leaving it attached at the tail.
Over 1/2 lb of crab meat is stuffed into the shell and the tail is set
up on top of the crab meat. It is broiled for a few minutes and served
with melted butter with a little lemon in it. The tail is cut in small
pieces and dipped in the melted butter. Was cooked perfect and tasted
good. G.M.

This was a 10oz tail, the kind you put on a hook to catch the big ones.

It's about 1,200 miles south. I live in Punta Gorda Fl. I still have
the place in Honey Brook, Pa. but don't get there very often. G.M.

Sound like an excellent way to cook lobster (and crab). We get a lot of crab here in the summer, but I get tired of the endless picking of the meat. In my teens and early 20s I spent seven years in Maine and Massachusetts. I'll take the lobster, thanks! We had bean burritos tonight! Signed, Green with envy :)

Re: Hi Off The Hog

The Lobster dinner was cooked perfect. I went to pick it up and had to wait
6 minutes past the 5:30 time. That was good because it came right out of
the oven and was still hot when I got home. French onion soup was good.
Salad and dressing was also good. Pecan pie with rum and whipped cream
was good also. Food was all packed in special containers and various
sized heavy white plastic bags with cardboard bottoms they must have
purchased for this new take out trade. I didn't get a bill, I'll get the shock
when my monthly statement comes. G.M.

I am getting use to and enjoying restaurants offering curb side. I don't have to dress up. I hope it continues after the virus. Pete

Hi George.... didn't we go to that same yacht club for a great crab cake lunch during one of my visits to Punta Gorda? I'm pretty sure we did. I think you also gave me a good tip on where to get a great (maybe the best in your opinion) crab cake here in Maryland.
Anyway, I was hoping to get down to see you and Skip this past March, but my trip to Florida had to be cancelled at the last minute.

Pappas Sea Food is not to far from you just straight down Route1 before you
get into the city. Go bring some home and then give your opinion. G.M.

All this crab talk should be getting you hungry enough to go get some.
