Re: Roy Nacewicz Oh, nooooo....

Re: Roy Nacewicz Sad to say but most of us are at an age where such a report would not be unusual.
Sorry for your loss. Many of us understand about the feelings of one of our best friends leaving forever. It really sucks. |

Re: Roy Nacewicz Very sorry to read that. We had numerous conversations over the years when I called to order items. He was always helpful with suggestions even when he didn't have what I needed, which was rare. Thanks for letting us know 35fordtn.

Re: Roy Nacewicz I only purchase paint from Roy but I spent almost an hour on the phone with him. What a loss. He was such a knowledgeable and friendly person. He will be in my prayers this Easter weekend.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz I'm sorry to hear of Roy passing, may he rest in peace. I met him at an Eastern National meet in Connecticut in the '90's. He was sitting at the same banquet table as I. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. My prayers go out for him and his family.

Re: Roy Nacewicz So sorry to hear of his passing - my condolences to his family. He will be missed ....

Re: Roy Nacewicz Like Michael and Don, Roy was a close friend and in my case for nearly fifty years. I am truly saddened to learn of his passing.
We started the nut and bolt business together back in the 'seventies (Dearborn High-Point Specialties) which he carried on himself when Ford sent me on an overseas assignment. Few in the hobby rival his contributions to it. I will sorely miss our Friday night dinners at the Waltz Inn near his home. May he rest in peace. |
Re: Roy Nacewicz This is sad news. Roy has always been a great contributor to our hobby. Glad i got to spend a little time with him at Dearborn last year. Rest in Peace Roy Nacewicz.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz WOW. I met Roy way back in 1978, at my first EFV-8 National Meet in Tulsa OK. Got invited to his house during the 1979 Eastern National Meet. And he invited me to 'tag' along in October of 1982 to an event called Hershey, and I have been attending ever since. I have known Roy since then, and that equates to over 1/2 of my life knowing him.
As we all know, we will all end up the same, but there are those that you don't believe that will ever pass, and Roy was one of those. So, very sad. I will miss him dearly. |
Re: Roy Nacewicz early on in my introduction to flathead Fords, I met a really great Ford man, his name was Clark Reed, thru him I met Roy who was also a very knowledgeable , extremely nice Ford man. We have lost both of these men this year, it is a sad day for the flathead Ford community. REST IN PEACE my friends Clark and Roy

Re: Roy Nacewicz Very sad news indeed. As others have said, Roy was a pleasure to speak with. I just spoke with him a few weeks ago. He always was intent on making sure each part needed was exactly what it should be..My prayers for his family.

Re: Roy Nacewicz Sorry to hear about Roy's passing. He was a great ambassador to the early Ford V8 hobby and a genuinely nice guy.

Re: Roy Nacewicz I am very sorry to hear of the passing of ROY.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz RIP Roy I only wish that RIP meant "Return if Possible" How lucky I am to have known you the guidance that you gave me on the bolting requirements for my 34 roadster during its restoration was so much appreciated. I always enjoyed and will miss our telephone conversations because each time you always left me a little more Ford enlightened and I thank you my friend....
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz Roy help me a lot. It won't be the same without him. I talk to him at Hershey. I wonder if anyone will take over where he left off? He was a big help, just can't believe it. WOW I will surely miss him a lot.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz Really sorry to hear of this. Roy and I were engineers together at Ford Advanced Body Engineering years back. A wealth of knowledge and a helpful, unselfish individual is lost to all of us.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz NO!...no, no, no. This can't be true, or I don't want it to be true. Not Roy.
I sure struggle with this one. Best wishes and condolences to Roy's family. How sorely he will be missed. I was just talking with him the other day. In his usual fashion, he went to great lengths to share information and advice with me about 37 Sedan Deliveries. He shared a story about how he came to own his 37 SD and was a wealth of information. What a generous and wonderful person Roy was. As everyone is saying, he will be truly missed.....darn, it is so sad he is gone.... gregg |
Re: Roy Nacewicz Very sad news, so sorry.

Re: Roy Nacewicz Going to miss you Roy, you are the best!

Re: Roy Nacewicz I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, however as others have mentioned, he was so nice, knowledgeable, and helpful on the phone. Sad to learn of his passing.
God Bless |
Re: Roy Nacewicz Prayer's to the family of a "Legend" in the V8 Universe and true loss for all of us!!
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz Rest in peace, Roy. This is shocking news. Roy was a treasure to our hobby and was the Early Ford V-8 club's liaison to the Bensen Ford Research Center. Roy was instrumental in making the initial arrangements to get the 2018 Grand National Meet started. For these and many more reasons he will be truly missed. Roy was a generous man and a friend.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz I have known Roy since the 70s' and have had dinner with him several times during National meets in Dearborn and while doing research for the ill fated 1935-1936 Ford Pickup book. He was a nice, friendly and very knowledgeable Ford guy. He will be greatly missed in the hobby. RIP Roy.

Re: Roy Nacewicz My condolences and prayers go out to Roy’s family. Having lost both my parents last year, I know how tough it can be.
|
Re: Roy Nacewicz Roy did a lot for the hobby and the V-8 Club. Not only did he supply needed products for restorations, but he also volunteered a lot of his time to the club and it's members. The amount of advice he gave out over the years is immeasurable. RIP Roy
