Newest Acquisition --- 1934 Station Wagon

3 Attachment(s)
I am rather excited for my recent purchase. I have always dreamed of owning a 1933-34 Station Wagon, and that dream came true this week. I haven't been this excited about a purchase since I was lucky enough to buy my 1932 Phaeton from one of my dear friends.
The previous owner was Jerry Grayson, whom as many will know was a well respected V-8'er and true asset to the V-8 Club and the Hobby. It will likely sit for a while until funds are available to finish it. I hope to eventually get it up to a Dearborn Award quality car, as Jerry would have wished. Jerry's family was very gracious in allowing me to purchase it, and they plan to be there the first time it is shown, even if it's ten years down the road. Until that point it will sit in my garage with it's new friends. If only they could learn to reproduce at night!

As a interesting tid-bit, it is Body #2999 of the 3004 1934 Wagons produced.

Few restoration projects will give you greater satisfaction (and relief) than the completion of a wood-bodied wagon. Have fun!

It went to the right guy.
Glad it went to someone who will bring it back to it's potential.

There's really nothing quite like finally finding and buying "the Ford of your dreams'!!! And, as noted above, looks like your new woodie is in fine company!!!

Your will enjoy!!:):)

Now you need to join the National Woodie Club, P.O. Box 82886, Lincoln, NE 68501. Due's are $40 and you get the "Woodie Times" magazine with membership. Start building that great car!!!

Re: Newest Acquisition --- 1934 Station Wagon

My dad restored a '28 Station Wagon when I was around ten. I went all over the place in the back of it. I've loved them ever since. All kinds of little
brackets and goodies that are unique to the woody. Nice sheet metal on that woody.
If it going to be 10-year's before you start on this project you should plant some birch and maple trees now! You might wan to add onto the garage too. There is always going to be one more car you can't live with out.

What a great purchase. Looks very solid, and being one of the last Model 40 Woodys made makes it extra special. It looks right at home in the garage with its siblings. Regards from "down under".

Congratulations Mike to a car we never saw here in Sweden as far as I know. In this hobby we all plan for an age of 125, at least I do, so good luck!

This car went to the right home. I'm glad to see it went to someone that is capable and competent to restore it to like new condition. Thanks also to the Grayson's for making this car available to Micheal.

Re: Newest Acquisition --- 1934 Station Wagon

A 1934 Ford Coupe was my first ride. Since I was born in 1936, I was wrapped in my blanket and placed in the package tray, or so I was told. That was my Child seat! My Dad kept the coupe until 1940 when he traded it in on a new Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2 Door. I remember rides in the coupe, probably was about 3 years of age until about 4 or so. I remember 1 time when my aunt opened the passenger door, and it opening from the front, pulled her out, and she landed in the ditch, scratched an bruised, no broken bones. O how the mind works.
Congratulations Michael on your purchase!!!! Sorry for letting my mind stray.

Congratulations!
Couldn't be in better hands.
If you would sell me that 40 coupe, you would have more room for it!
