and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. http://i68.tinypic.com/20ij528.jpg
Yip, Sarah is an award winner now.........but nothing like some of you guys. Haven't seen the plaque yet.......but was officially informed. I didn't stay for the awarding, too much mud at the Fair grounds. |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Looking fantastic, love that star glint on the wing.

Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Thanks for posting. For as many Models A's I've seen I'm my lifetime I never get tired of seeing pictures of them. Beautiful car, congrats.

Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Yes, you have a beautiful car and I also like the wheel color.
What is the story on the building. I assume it was a house since it has a chimney. Is it being restored? |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. The whitewalls add a touch of class ! Wayne

Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Congrats, beautiful car, and I see more awards in your future, as Sarah is a stunner.

Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Thanks for al the congrats.....
I don't think she would have been given jack shite last year but with all the work Larry put into her last winter, I allowed it this year. I would have enjoyed the grading but at the time she was being looked over, I was cleaning up gas run-off. |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. I took a look at the Hamburg website.
I see that Sarah's picture made it to the home page. I also see that you are the mayor. Did you mention that? Cool! |

A beautiful car needs a beautiful Cookie Pusher, Gid, Looker, Mugbug, Pigeon, Whiz Bang, frail...and if you're lucky you'll get a honey cooler. Then you can cruise out to the clam bake down at the gin mill! |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. There is more paint and chrome on the radiator shell than on my whole car.
It is really good looking! |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. How many entries and do you have pictures ? Wayne
|
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Wow! That is a beautiful sweet automobile that is far too upscale and decent for a clod like me.
What we need are "Jalopy Awards" for blistering and peeling paint knock around dented driver Model A Ford cars. Our late 31' deluxe tudor in the photo at left is a survivor situation. Looks as if paint was throw at the thing over the decades. The impression is of a 1940s period $15 grade Model A Ford being an escapee from a World War 2 junk yard scrap drive. |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Ed, you and Sarah certainly deserve it and she looks great. Of course you have worked hard to do lots of little detail things from the luggage on the back, disguised fire extinguisher, and detailed the car well. I'll keep her running and you keep her looking good and happy. Don't worry about the gas tank paint, we'll take care of that this winter.
All the best! Larry Shepard |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. I once won oldest and best antique car at the show.I was the only car entered. Wayne

Authenticity? The coupe is a beautiful thing in nearly every way. I wonder if the car left the factory with the green wheels. Dual side mounts might have also been a retrofit feature. Are we still in the era when cars are what I call deluxified into a form that never was? I know that I did it with my 160A, plugging in cowl lamps and side mounts. In spite of the remains of correct pinstripe the wheels immediately went bright red. My 40B standard also took a beating with drilling for those cowl lights again. The large wings on my Taiwan Moto Meter were a nice touch. Too late I understood that my "improvements" were almost destructive. May have been different if my results were nearly as beautiful as the featured coupe. Good Luck: Fred A

Fixed, she's back with a full rack............:D Couldn't find anything that could take it's place on eBay or that I could afford. |
Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to.. Took me awhile to resize the award to fit into this photo........:D It's hanging in the Sarah's garage next to her.

I agree with what you said about 'once beautiful women before they went under the knife' most of them look like circus clowns when they get done:eek: Pretty hideous. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=...74420523165041 |
