Re: 50's cars

I got 46 out of 48. The 52 and 54 Mercs stumped me.

I think that is an Allstate, not a Henry J. A Henry J sold and badged by Sears.

Re: 50's cars

That was easy. The Mercs '52 '54 tripped me into a 96%.

I cut many knuckles on those machines. My parents would leave me in the care of my uncle. He ran a three bay GULF station. It was a totally different world. Not always fun or easy, but gosh it was a good time!!!

100% here. I actually guessed on the 52 and 54 mercs. I always had a hard time with those. The rest were almost too easy.

Same here, high school in the mid fifties and some of us would sit on the corner and see who could be first to guess the oncoming cars.

Re: 50's cars

I thought I messed up on the '52 Merc, but got lucky with 100%. Lost in the 50's.

48 of 48. I must be old.

Re: 50's cars

Fun (but easy) test. Got 98%, missed one. I agree with others. Back in the 50's cars looked different because they were different. Not like today's "jellybean" look.

Re: 50's cars

Think I have done this one some time in the past before but I still only got 92%. Those Mopars and Kaiser's tripped me up.

Blu Dice 12-19-2015 07:43 AM

Re: 50's cars

I got 100% and I'm only 65. I would tell my dad the make of cars at night while sitting on our front porch and I was about 4 then - usually by the tail lights LOL. Can't do it with the new cars anymore just a few of the remakes.

Talkwrench 12-19-2015 08:00 AM

Re: 50's cars

88% I got every one of the Chrysler series one wrong! Lol ..what was I thinking?
