Ray,

Hope to see you and your Business Coupe...I sure love that body style.

I know of an original March/April 1928 Business Coupe here in Walla Walla and been trying to get the owner to sell it to me. But you know what they say..."No, not yet, I might want to restore it someday"...So there it will set for another who knows how many years.

I have about 350 miles to Puyallup.

Re: Your miles to Puyallup ?

about 800 miles on a wing and a prayer, did not have a car that would make it but I am going to force the issue because having a National meet so close is just too much of a draw. Now a half done car is going to make the trip or die trying. Been working on the mechanics and letting the pretty go for now, so that bug covered ugly one will be mine.

From near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, 2227 calculated miles, but it has been hauled on a trailer. Currently in Bend, Oregon where it has had a planned engine overhaul and other repairs and upgrades.

Pluck, my reg. # is 123.
I waited five years for a guy to decide to sell me his 21-window VW bus. But he finally called me. He'd kept my number on his garage wall.

Leaving Sat morning, overnight in Yakima, then over the hill. About 350 in all. Someone turn down the thermostat on the eastside if you see it...

Re: Your miles to Puyallup ?

I'm already at 530, from Santa Cruz to Gold Beach, entirely up the coast. I saw several A's this evening in Gold Beach. I plan to continue to Port Angeles, then back down along the inland waterways to Puyallup, another 630 +or- miles.

Can any one suggest to me which route down Washington from Port Angeles is more fun, beautiful, or easy in an A: 101 and 5, or 104 and 16 ?

Re: Your miles to Puyallup ?

Take 104 &16. I-5 from Olympia to Tacoma is long, crowded, and boring. 104 is quite scenic in many places. Traffic around Tacoma is hairy, and the less you have to be on the freeway the better, even in modern!

101 down the Hood Canal is beautiful and lightly travelled, generally. If you can, take a side trip into Port Townsend. You won't be disappointed.

Re: Your miles to Puyallup ?

The problem with being the host chapter is you miss out on the drive to and from which always is one of the fun parts about attending the MAFCA meets and conventions. So we depart tomorrow morning and will travel a whole 36.1 mi in approximately 45 mins.

Re: Your miles to Puyallup ?

I saw several model A's yesterday driving through Warrenton Oregon. Their sign said Capital A's and another sign said Puyallup or bust. Nice cars.
