Hotcoupe Tom, Cute clothes pins, but I'd advise get rid of the teflon tape from your fuel system. That stuff can break away from inside and get hung up in your needle valve. If that happens, it could cause a massive fuel overflow and possible fire.

That will work ok.
As a side note, "deadhead" regulator's (1 line in, 1 line out) are very marginal at doing what they are supposed to do, especially, low pressure ones.
If you want to check this, mount a fuel pressure gauge OUTSIDE the car but where you can see it while driving.
It will read up and down like a tachometer, with engine speed. The pressure will sometimes drop to zero at full throttle on a long steep hill pull.
People buy this type regulator because they are cheap.

The alternative is the bypass type regulator which has a return line to the tank. Not cheap but quality never is.
