- i'm retired, going on two years. My wife Max & I acquired our 28 Phaeton in yr 2000, at which time it was totally re-painted. I have been re-doing mechanical things one at a time since then. It was originally restored and put on the road around 1956, and driven around 100,000 (Father-in-law's estimate) miles since then, once to Pike's Peak and back. We belong to the Hub City Model A Ford Club in Hagerstown, MD, an active club with about 55 current members.
