- I've always loved cars and I love to tinker. I fixed up my Dad's 58 chevy as it had rotted away above the h-light eyebrows. I used f-glass and such - came out really good and my Dad was very impressed. That started me off.
I then got more involved into this hobby by fixing up an older used car to drive to work since I worked close to where I lived. The wife had a distance to travel, so she got the new (newer) car.
As the cars got older, I got better at fixing them. I ended up in the early mid 60s Chevy scene, had a 62 409/409, 4-speed, the works. I also had a 66 Chevy Impala as a everyday driver. That was the "restoration scene" and I soon tired of that. Once they both were sold I ended up with a 40 Ford Std coupe- I was hooked. It was flattie, stock 3-speed, and I wore it out going down the road with the wife and kids, stuffed in there like we were the Walton's.
I was first into street rods, building several including my first 40, but I got dissatisfied with all the chrome,
