- Bought first car, a 55 Ford sedan in 1972, age 16. Still driving it today. Car has been in service continuously with exception of a few times for repairs.
In 1996, I bought my second car, a 1955 Ford Courier sedan delivery wagon. Only the shell and frame were left. Took 4 years to find all OEM parts and to complete body-off-frame restoration. Both my old cars are factory original, except the wagon has been converted to 12 volts using '56 parts and has a modern radio, power antennae, elec windshld washer and elec rear window defroster. The wagon has a 223 I-block 6, but the car originally came from the factory with the 162 HP 272 V8. Both cars are Ford-O-Matics.
