    Biography
My avatar shows my 1930 Model A two door coach that I bought in 1959 when I was 15. I bought it from a college student neighbor who had buried it in the mud at the lake after his graduation party. I paid him $15 for it and we had to go recover it. That summer I put new tires on the front '40 Ford wheels and 8.50 15 or 16s on the back off my dad's Buick. I recovered the seats, put on a new top and got it running with plans to drive it to high school. My dad, who lived through the depression, hated everything associatie with the '30s. He insisted that I sell the Model A and go to a '52 Plymouth. I sold the "A" to a classmate who drove it to high school every day, usually full of classmates.
I never listened to my dad after that.
