Default 1933 Fordor Sedan VIN number

I have a 1933 with a VIN number of *18-465248*. From what I've searched this number falls under the 1934 range. Everything I can find (and I have restored this entire car) is 1933. Are there late VIN numbers that could prove this is a 1933 with this VIN number possibly made late year??
Anyone have a reliable site to research a specific VIN number?

FYI, when this car was turned over to me from my father, he could not find the title. (It was in the barn for almost 30 years). The DMV "gave" it a number. We were unable to find the original VIN number on any parts of the car at that time. It was very "fresh" from the barn. I have now restored it and wanted to get a new title with the actual VIN number. Its number is not clicking with the 1933 range.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

David, is there any way you would be able to send me a copy of just that page? I can only seem to find the book on Amazon for $180. Trying to get a title issue cleared up, would prefer not to buy the book at this time. I sure would appreciate Kate it! Thank you. I can provide my email if you have a way to scan the page.

To add to the confusion, here's what MacVP's site shows:

1933V84018- 203,127 to 18- 457,4771934V84018- 457,478 to 18-1,234,356

That book is available from Mac's for $40.50.

Also available from Drakes, but for $50.

Ford's records (the Rouge engine log which is the source of the Francis/DeAngelis data) as opposed to some non-Ford guess, show the first '33 V-8 engine was numbered 40-207867, produced on November 14, 1932. (The first few '33 engine numbers carried a 40 prefix before Ford reverted to the 18 prefix.)

Was that number actually found on the frame or the transmission housing? Could the car have been rebuilt onto a slightly later frame sometime in the past? or maybe it was a 34 and fitted with 33 sheet metal after an accident years ago?

Could a 33 have that number?

Mart.

Yes . It is a September 1933 # . The 457,477 # given on the site mentioned { and actually numerous other places } is August 1933 production . Job-one for 1934 was the third week of November 1933 . Pretty well explains itself from that point . Look at the post above by DavidG and you will see this is not the only error .[QUOTE=Mart;Could a 33 have that number?
