Re: 1939 Ford headliner
Bernie, Here are the LB Instructions for installing the stock Mohair interior in a 40 DeLuxe coupe. Be sure and install the windlace so you make the correct 45 degree mitered corners. Practice first. I found the interior not too dificult to install. The key is to prepare yourself mentally by doing a dry run in your head first, to see if it all makes sense.. One step at a time and you will succeed. Click on photo to enlarge.

Re: 1939 Ford headliner
You will also need to buy hog ring pliers and hog rings if you are redoing you seat. Also need to buy the two tools shown below. I warapped the metal blade of the upholsterey headliner tool with masking tape to eliminate sharp edges. It is used to tuck in the headliner. I also used the original Contact cement in the little glass bottle. Make sure you first install the dome light wiring. Also, allow enough headliner material so that it will pull tight when you screw down the windshield visors. When i did mine, the complete LB interior kit was $550.

Re: 1939 Ford headliner
I have quite a few bows with factory stamped numbers on them.
The ford Body parts book gives them numbers. 39 coupe - 1 thru 5. |
