simple green does it work on white walls

Has any one tried to clean there yellowing white walls with simple green?

Yes. Did OK but the best thing I've ever used is an SOS pad. But be sure to wash off the SOS soap after you're finished scrubbing with a cloth or sponge and plenty of water.

i use wesleys bleach white on modern white lettering tires. about $5 for a large sprya bottle. spray it on, let it soak a few minutes then any ol sponge will do with a few quick wipes then wash it away. comes out pure bright white.

I scrubbed my whitewalls several times with a plastic-bristled dish scrubber (dipped in the cleaner). It sort-of worked. I'm not sure what would have worked better, so I guess I'm satisfied. But the tires are not bright white. They still have a hint of yellow that bugs me. But ultimately, I wish I could afford blackwalls.

simple green is just ok, I have cleaned more white wall than I can remember and the best I have found is any of the purple engine cleaners and a scrub brush won/t take much. I tried some westlys on a friends old white wall last week and I couldn't get them clean so I went home and got some of the degreaser and I was done in ten minutes.

I had to use 200 grit sandpaper to get the 30 years of yellowing off my white walls---then SOS pads after that

I would be very careful running those 30 year old tires. They do have a shelf life whether you use them or not.

The thing has only moved from the barn to the trailer and then in the shop in the last 42 years---that's about 200 yds----they held up good for that kind of abuse.

I would use Wesley's first, if you dont get the results you like with Wesley's then I would use simple green.

ez off oven cleaner is the best I have used I tried all of the above they don't come close to ez off get the yellow can

Oven Cleaner is great for cleaning up old chasis dirt, grease, etc., but, I have found out, that it takes off paint, too.

best cure is to replace them with black walls!

Sorry had to toss that in.

I would be careful of anything to strong you might booger up the paint on your wheels........
