Passenger Door Handle
Morning crew:
Another question (Yes I have tons) I am working on replacing the passenger door handle this way I have a locking one in her. I take out the 2 screws, and pull the old one out, had to jiggle (nice technical term) and then it finally came out. I go to put the new one in (Purchased from Snyder's) and I get almost all the way seated but it seems it doesn't want to go the last 1/8-1/4" to seat down to screw it in. Am I doing something wrong, is there something in the door I need to mess with and take the door card off? Thanks! Dave

Re: Passenger Door Handle
Just an FYI only... no idea if relevant.
On a side note I was told by Snyders that door knobs they sold would not work with fordor cars with external lock as result of the door profile. |

Re: Passenger Door Handle
Measure the shank of the old and new, you might need to file the new shank down

Re: Passenger Door Handle
You probably need to turn the handle a 1/4 turn to get it
to go in the last little bit. |
