The engine is at the machine shop. Will post picture of numbers when I get it back.

If you can, post a picture of the rear main bearing web at the inside rear of the block and if the pic is good some of us may be able to tell if it is a 28 or a 30 block. I would post a pic but my 28 block has the crankshaft in place and a picture of the inside of the rear block would be impossible without removing the crankshaft .

It appears that some one added a 3 in front of the original #. If you ignore the 3 the engine # is 185966, which indicates that it was made in June of 1928
