Interior screw kit
Some time ago I bought a bag of screws from Braton's that is supposed to include every screw needed for the interior ('29 Town Sedan). However, there is no indication as to what goes where. I have gone throught the catalog to try and identify what screws go where, but still have not accounted for all of them. Has anybody had the same problem. Any ideas on what goes where? They are all chrome plated so I don't want to use one in the wrong place and end up buying more.

Re: Interior screw kit
I had the same problem with my 155A Murray Town sedan. First sorted all of the hardware by diameter and length. Then made a chart of what I needed, for example how many screws required to hold the quarter window garnish moldings in place. In some cases it is easy to pick out where the hardware is used. Then it was a matter of elimination by first making sure the head fits if it is an oval screw, then checking the length by a trial fit.
I know of no charts that will help, maybe somebody will have better information. Gar Williams |

Re: Interior screw kit
When I did the Vicky, I sorted the interior fastners and placed them in zip-lock bags with the part they secured marked, in felt tip, on the bag. It made it somewhat easier, two years later, when it came time to install a part, to match up the new fastners with the old.

My sons vicky has no interior screws so how does one figure out what it needs, and where they go if even Roy does not know?

I should have added "when he received the car."

Re: Interior screw kit
Okay, back to the beginning, if the car was apart when you got it (such as the '29 Sport Coupe I'm working on), how do you determine which screws go where?
