Default runs for a few minutes perfect, then starts to pop and crack alittle until it stalls

Has new plugs and wires, new ignition wiring. all the buzz boxes are working. Rebuilt the carb too.

Do you have good gasoline flow?

Adding to the gas flow idea. I check gas flow by holding at least a pint container under the carb drain (large white plastic fast food drink cups are nice). Open the carb drain valve and let the gas flow. You should see a steady flow of gas. I let the drink cup get about half full before shutting off the drain valve. You will be surprised at the amount of junk that comes out (red sand, which is tank rust). The elbow at the carb inlet, and the carb inlet between the elbow and needle/seat are are both bad about plugging with rust.

ok, I was wondering about this, I've had about 5 1950's cars that would only run for about 10 minutes then shut off, and it was rust in the tank. Didnt know if that would be a huge issue since it doesnt have a fuel pump
