Not sure that these are Chevy pistons.................You could always have the domes milled to get the required CR. What kind of taper do you have on the cylinders?

Have you contacted any of the piston manufactures like; Venolia, Wiseco, TRW, SRF, Ross, Probe, KB, JE, Mahl, Manley or Arias. I would think these are going to be hard to find unless you order a custom set...............IMHO

appreciate the responses. cyl wear is little if any: very little taper or out of round. customer has had this car since 6 months new and shows 60k on speedo. still has factory exhaust on it.
most aftermarket venders have no such animal. thats why i was trying my luck that perhaps someone else had hiked this highway and found something that would work, milled, modified or the like, i've talked to some speciality shops-----like egge and know i can have produced but customer requested a search for options.
again thanks will check out the leads.

One of the problems is the rod length, most 302s have 5.09 inch rods.I believe Boss 302s had 289 length rods 5.155.The other problem is the canted valve heads, even if you find flat top pistons with the 1.6 compression height they'll have to be fly cut for valve clearence.

The still make replacement Flat Top pistons for the Boss 302. TRW was bought out but there are Speed Pro pistons that are the same. Sounds like your Pistons are the 69-early 70 pistons. They had a problem with the skirts. The late 70's pistons are what's out there now. I had a Boss 302 that we built for a Rail many many years ago. I am a ASE parts pro and a FORD GUY! I looked up in the Speed Pro piston cat. a few months back looking for 289/302 pistons and found the stock replacement pistons for the Boss 302 still listed. Speed Pro is part of the company that owns FelPro gaskets. Can't think of the name hope this helps. You can run the old racing popup pistons if you mill the popup off.

Why not just call Ross and order exactly what you need?
They probably have them on the shelf.
