Default Extension Spring

City: Richmond
State: VA

I am restoring an early Model A with the ‘equalizer’ style brake system. I understand there was originally a spring to retract the system. This spring is listed in the 1-1-28 Parts List as A2492 with the notation “same as T3054”. Since this was a transition period, I assume this meant it is a carry-over from late “T” production. However, the “T” number seems to be a misprint as it does not appear in the ’26 T Parts List. I am not familiar enough the late model “T” to have any idea where this spring may have appeared.

Regardless, I need one of these springs to complete my restoration. An original part mesures [5-1/8" overall length; 9/16" width]. I do not know the wire gauge. Thanks!!
