Default Weber carb on a B head in my speedster?

I just bought a 29 speedster and it has a custom intake and straight pipe exhaust (as seen in the pic). It currently has a Stromberg 97. I want to get the intake back under the hood and I have to get rid of the straight pipes because every time I drive it through the neighborhood I wake up the dead!

The man I bought the car from entered it in Hill Climb Races and did well with it. I want to create more of a touring car for cruising around town and on trips in the mountains.

I have a new Weber carb with the intake that comes with it and I have the original standard exhaust manifold. The car has a B engine in it. Will the Weber intake bolt right up to the B head without modification?

Thanks for the input.

Yes it will bolt up just fine. Pretty neat speedster, i'm starting to collect some pieces to build my own. If you want to get rid of the exhaust let me know.

I am not sure but the manifold for the Weber may require a header for the exhaust.

Do not get me started on the stupidity of ethanol. I think one of the monitors is from Iowa and he will delete the thread.

No you dont. I don't use a header on mine, just a stock exhaust manifold

if you have a hood on your car and use the reg manifold with a steel tube header the air filter will more than likely hit the hood.
