Goodyear. From my experiences, they seem to have less cracking & checking as they age, and the serviceable mileage seems to be more from them compared to other 19" or 21" brands.

If you are looking for the best ride and handling, American Classic Radials are definitely the best I have ever used.

Just ensure you get the stickers out of them before you start having flats... https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=331820

My vote is for BFG’s, I mounted them before date coding, I’ve put a lot of miles on them in the last 5+ years, they still look good but are hard, the right rear thread is gone from burning rubber ( just kidding)

Bought Excelsior brand. Good tire for the price. $106 from Speedway. Jegs has the same with free shipping.

Hands down it's Goodyear if you are not buying radials. I find Goodyear's tire tread hold the road far better than Firestone's. I have used both them on my A.

The Goodyears on my CCPU are dissolving in front of my eyes. An inspection of the tread showed chunks of rubber have been torn away. Sure, road holding is good but no better than tyres that are much cheaper and last longer. They were on the car when I bought it out of the US. They are not available here and that's fine by me.

comments- when they came over a couple of yrs back, they were one of the least expensive tires you could buy. They look as good as Goodyears and have better qualifications then the cheaper brands. I do believe costs have gone up significantly though, in the last 2 yrs.
If considering a premium tire, they should be looked at. Still pretty reasonable I believe.
around 140 a tire shipped and txed.

I have a set that I bought from Berts in Colorado. I have been happy with them and they seem to wear well. The diamond tread, similar to the Good Year tires, track better then the Firestones.

I have had a set of the European Classics for the last 3 years. I got a little over 12,000 miles on them and they are worn out. Lots of mountain driving. They seem to handle very good and ride a little better than my 3 previous sets of Firestone's. On my sedan they lasted about 1000 miles more than the Firestone's and ride better. I like my 19 inch tires an air pressure of 32psi rather than 35psi, since the tires wore more in the center than the outside.
