UPDATE: by far this thread has the most views in this section, roughly 150,000. I do not know if anyone needs the information or visits the thread anymore. I was just notified by Photobucket that unless I pay for them to host my pictures on the inter web they will delete my account, and thus all of the pictures in this thread will be removed. If there is enough interest and the pictures help folks then I have no problem paying a little bit to keep the photos up. If this thread is essentially dead then no problem there either. People can visit my website at HotRodReverend.com/blog to get all of this information, pictures, and a whole lot more video work as well.

Let me know your thoughts...

Are these the same photos as on you blog? If so when someone has a question just refer them to the appropriate section. I gave up on photo bucket way back when they started doing this. I use Flickr now for any photos I want to post.

HRR, I would not blame you for abandoning photobucket. I did many years ago. I think it was a dirty underhanded trick to hold our photos hostage for payment, when the site was originally free to post your photo's there.
That kind of ethics leads me directly into BOYCOTT mode!
I love your website and all the work you have done to your 2-door sedan. Top notch. If I can navigate your site, it should be lots easier for other folks more computer savvy than me. Go ahead, nuke photobucket. And good riddance.

What have you decided? It would be a shame to lose all of that info ...

with only 3 responses I will probably just let it go. My website I personally pay for costs me a little over $300 a year to maintain. And there is so much more on that site anyway.

I understand now. You are asking if anyone wants this thread maintained as PHOTO BUCKET wants to charge a service fee as to where the same info and photos will still be available on your personal web page?

I would go with your web page and let this one die on the vine as far as photos. Just mention a referral to your web page in the signature on the last few posts (or you post a final post) in the thread.

You had me scared, too much valuable info to lose entirely.

Bad enough the 54 CLUB went out.

The old '55 is still alive and kicking after a move to California. The latest blog entry on my site includes removing the original leaf springs and replacing them with another stock set made in the USA. I was very happy with the results and even posted a video that shows some of the leaf spring action from underneath the car.
