Default 52 F1 oil bath cleaner

Hi gents

Anyone convert their oil bath to conventional air cleaner? Using existing housing for authentic looks.

If yes what did it entail?

Thanks that was very helpful. I would like to do what Merc cruiser did.

Anyone know the right size air filter to fit in the oil bath base of a 52 F1

When I converted my filter I used this lookup from K&N filters.
Just plug in the O.D. you are looking for and all the filters with that O.D. will show along with the rest of dimensions and applications. Then just pick the one that will work.

I have done a couple of them on F1 trucks. The first one I used a KN filter which is pricey. The second I used a Napa paper filter which was much cheaper.
